Charlie Zhang

Biography

Charlie Zhang is the Tax Director at HealthQuest Capital, overseeing all tax matters across the firm’s investment funds and entities. His work spans structuring, planning, compliance, international reporting, and transactional tax analysis.

Before joining HealthQuest, Charlie was a Senior Tax Manager at Moss Adams LLP, where he provided tax planning and compliance, as well as deal advisory services, to private equity, venture capital, and real estate clients. He was also a core member of the firm’s China Practice, working with China/Asia-based investors and entrepreneurs on both fund and operating company matters. Earlier in his career, Charlie served as a Tax Manager in KPMG’s Alternative Investment Practice and held financial analysis roles at China Investment Corporation and China Resources SZITIC Trust in Beijing.

Charlie is a licensed CPA and holds an MBA and a master’s degree in taxation. Outside of work, he enjoys scuba diving, rock climbing, photography, and exploring the world with his wife.
